In response to these changes, "hanataba photo" in Ise City, Mie Prefecture, will begin accepting reservations for its 2027 Coming-of-Age Ceremony Pre-shoot Plan starting August 8, 2026.

The new plan features "semi-custom styling," where kimonos and accessories are combined to match each individual's preferences and atmosphere. Instead of just parents choosing, or leaving it entirely up to the individual, the plan proposes pre-shoots where parents and children enjoy coordinating together to discover the "cute" that is unique to the child.

A New Coming-of-Age Ceremony Pre-shoot Created Together by Parents and Children

Rather than choosing from pre-set styles, the plan offers custom coordination based on antique kimonos, combined with elements like tulle, floral decorations, accessories, and hairstyles, tailored to each individual.

"Cute," "natural," "mature," "Korean-style" – the desired image varies for everyone.

Even the same kimono can have a significantly different impression depending on the accessories and hair arrangement.

While valuing both the individual's "likes" and the family's wishes, we will create a unique outfit together that truly represents them.

To Commemorate the New Plan, Coming-of-Age Ceremony Models Are Being Recruited

hanataba photo is recruiting coming-of-age ceremony models who can help create the world of the new plan.

Modeling experience is not required. We welcome applications from both self-nominations and nominations by others who "like the world of hanataba photo" and "want to capture their coming-of-age ceremony in their own way."
