World's No.1* Nordic Food Waste Reduction App 'Too Good To Go' Selected for Shibuya Ward's 'Testbed City Shibuya' Pilot Project

Too Good To Go Japan K.K. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Hiroto Ooka), the Japanese subsidiary of the Danish company operating the world's No.1* food waste reduction app 'Too Good To Go,' announces its selection for 'Testbed City Shibuya,' a pilot project run by Shibuya Ward to leverage the power of startups for solving social issues. Through this project, Too Good To Go Japan will promote the implementation of its food waste reduction model in Shibuya Ward, an area dense with restaurants and retail stores. We aim to solve the urban food waste problem and will further strengthen our collaboration with local stores and the government.

'Too Good To Go' is a food waste reduction app that connects users who want to purchase surplus, still-delicious food at a discount with establishments like restaurants, cafes, convenience stores, supermarkets, and bakeries. In this project, we will enhance the sale of 'Surprise Bags' through the app with partner stores (restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, convenience stores, etc.) in Shibuya Ward. Based on the reduction data obtained through a three-month pilot, we aim to build a model case for food waste reduction.
