Tonkachi Co., Ltd. (Meguro, Tokyo, President: Yukari Katsuki) has started general sales of "Owl from the Sea," a sustainable objet made from recycled oyster shells from Hiroshima Prefecture that would otherwise be discarded, based on the popular work "Owl of the Swedish Forest" by Swedish ceramic artist Lisa Larson.

After an exclusive pre-sale at the PLAY! MUSEUM exhibition in Tachikawa, Tokyo, it is now available to fans nationwide.

## A harmonious blend of sea and forest

Lisa Larson's popular Swedish ceramic owl is reborn in a sustainable form. Oysters are known as natural filtration devices in the sea, and the shells that have protected the sea now become a lucky charm objet.

## 6th installment of the "Tottori" series

The latest in the series using natural materials like Tottori sand, volcanic ash, and now oyster shells, created with Mortar Magic.

## Craftsmanship details

- Mold making pursuit of ideal three-dimensional form (about 90% size of ceramic)
- Hand-painted detailing with black and deep yellow
- Special white processing to approximate the white owl
