Kichijoji Excel Hotel Tokyu (Musashino City, Tokyo / General Manager: Mitsugi Saito) will hold a "Kids Cake Class" on Sunday, August 2, 2026, for parents and children to participate.

This event, held during the summer vacation period, allows participants to experience decorating a fruit shortcake with the support of the hotel's patissiers. Participants will spread cream on a sponge cake and decorate it with seasonal fruits to complete their own original cake.

On the day of the event, hotel patissiers will give demonstrations, clearly explaining tips for smoothly spreading cream and points for decoration. Children will be provided with chef's coats and hats, allowing them to enjoy the patissier experience in authentic attire while tackling each step. The completed cakes can be taken home, so families can enjoy them while reflecting on their child's growth and the memories of the day.

In recent years, interest in hands-on events for parents and children has been growing, and this event is consistently popular as an opportunity to experience something authentic, unique to a hotel. After the decoration experience, a tea time will be prepared for parents and children to relax. While reflecting on the day's experience, participants can enjoy seasonal cakes made by the hotel.

Fee: 8,000 yen per group of 2 people (1 adult and 1 elementary school student)

※An additional 2,500 yen will be charged per additional person.
