(Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President: Tomioki Kimura) will hold a special screening of Ryuya Suzuki, an animation film director from Miyagi Prefecture, at 109 Cinemas Tomiya (1-33-1 Ohshimizu, Tomiya City, Miyagi Prefecture, Aeon Mall Tomiya Annex) from July 10th (Fri) to 16th (Thu). During the period, a special screening with the director's appearance will also be held on July 11th (Sat) and July 12th (Sun).

Overview of "Ryuya Suzuki Director Special Screening"

A special screening of Ryuya Suzuki, an animation film director from Miyagi Prefecture, will be held from July 10th (Fri) to 16th (Thu). Suzuki's debut feature film "Nameless Life," which he created alone in one and a half years and caused a big sensation, has received high evaluations at film festivals both domestically and internationally and is currently being released in theaters in various countries. In addition to this work, which begins its story in Sendai, the short film collection "Three Men" will be screened, as well as screenings of works that influenced Suzuki, "Memories of Murder," "Drive," and "Beast to Die." During the period, a screening event with a talk by the director himself about the works and production episodes is also planned.

In addition, special stickers drawn exclusively for this project will be distributed to all attendees, and an illustration exhibition of Suzuki and the sale of "Nameless Life" packages from the original label drink service "TAG LIVE LABEL" have also been decided. Ryuya Suzuki

Born on December 3, 1994. From Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture.

After graduating from the Department of Image Science, Tohoku University of Art and Design, he aspired to be a live-action director but ended up becoming an employed manager of an oyster bar in Kabukicho. Short animated films he started making on his own during the coronavirus pandemic have won numerous awards at domestic independent film festivals. In 2022, Suzuki's short film collection "Three Men" was released in theaters. He received the Newcomer Award in the Media Arts Division of the Miyagi Prefectural Art Selection in the Reiwa 5th year. This work was created entirely by himself, spending a year and a half in his parents' home in Sendai, with the production costs raised through crowdfunding.
