Overview of the Todoroki Green Space Redevelopment, Management, and Operation Project

Kawasaki Todoroki Park Co., Ltd., established through joint investment by Tokyu Corporation, Fujitsu Limited, Marubeni Corporation, ORIX Corporation, and four other companies, was selected as the operator for Kawasaki City's "Todoroki Green Space Redevelopment, Management, and Operation Project" and began operations, maintenance, and management of Todoroki Green Space on April 1, 2023.

Based on the Act on Promotion of Private Finance Initiative (PFI Law), this integrated project includes the redevelopment, management, and operation of Todoroki Green Space. Kawasaki Todoroki Park and Kawasaki Mirai Energy have concluded an electricity supply agreement for major facilities within Todoroki Green Space (Uvance Todoroki Stadium by Fujitsu (Todoroki Athletics Stadium), Tokyu Dressel Todoroki Arena, Todoroki Baseball Stadium). Starting July 1, 2026, the Company will serve as the retail electricity provider, commencing power supply.

This initiative, supplying substantially 100% renewable energy—sourced entirely from local Kawasaki City resources (waste-to-energy and solar power)—to multiple large-scale sports facilities within the city, marks the first such project in Japan (based on Kawasaki City's research). As a result, all electricity used in the major facilities of Todoroki Green Space (equivalent to approximately 854 average households※) will be switched to renewable energy.
