Tokyo GreatBears (Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kenji Kubota) has decided to hold a preseason match in Tomigusuku City, Okinawa, in August 2026. Tomigusuku City has continuously hosted training camps for various national volleyball teams, including Japan, and SV League clubs, striving for regional revitalization and improved competitiveness through volleyball. Tokyo GreatBears has also conducted training camps in Tomigusuku City since the 2025-26 season, experiencing both a fulfilling competitive environment and a warm welcome from the local community, as well as a high level of interest in volleyball. This preseason match will serve as a venue for strengthening the team ahead of the season opening, while also providing the people of Okinawa the opportunity to enjoy top-level volleyball up close, contributing to the promotion of volleyball, the expansion of SV League recognition, and the deepening of ties between the region and the club. Additionally, a spectator tour is planned to allow as many people as possible to enjoy this match.
