Tokushima Auction Market Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture; Representative Director: Yoshihisa Arai; hereinafter "TAM") is pleased to announce that it has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) concerning the manufacturing, supply, and sales of coconut products with Davao Catigan Manufacturer of Coconut By Products Inc (hereinafter "Davao Catigan") from the Philippines.

The signing ceremony was held in Davao City, Philippines, on May 12, 2026, with approximately 120 attendees. Dignitaries present included the Consul General of Japan in Davao, the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) (represented by the General Santos Airport Manager), regional directors from the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), and various agricultural stakeholders. A congratulatory message was also received from the Mayor of Davao.

Through this partnership, Davao Catigan will be responsible for the manufacturing and export of coconut products, while TAM will handle sales in the global market, including Japan. This new international collaboration model aims to directly connect producers with markets, striving for the creation of long-term value in agriculture and food distribution.

Background and Significance of This Initiative

This initiative is an important first step towards supporting the livelihoods of coconut farmers, improving product quality, and expanding production. It aims to move away from traditional small-scale production and establish a more stable and continuous supply system.

Furthermore, we believe this is an extremely rare initiative that can bring coconut products with a visible producer's face to the market. We believe that delivering not only the product itself but also the background of its production and the passion of its creators will have great significance in the future market.

Other Project Collaborations

This initiative is not a stand-alone business limited to the manufacturing and sales of coconut products. It is a part of TAM's broader Philippine Integrated Agricultural and Fisheries Development Project, aiming to build an international supply system by collaborating with various projects it has promoted.

To ensure stable raw material procurement, we will establish cooperative relationships with farmers in BARMM (Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao) in addition to Davao Catigan's own farms. By expanding cooperation with local producers, we aim to form a stable supply base.

Moreover, to deliver products stably to the global market, the development of logistics infrastructure is indispensable. We will strengthen the entire supply chain, including TAM's promotion of air logistics and airport development concepts, as well as the establishment of warehousing functions to support exports.

Stable operation of manufacturing sites also requires stable power supply. Furthermore, to smoothly share information such as production planning, manufacturing management, quality control, and export management across borders, DDLS (Digital Data Link Satellite) will also be utilized.

TAM aims to achieve sustainable value creation by organically linking production, logistics, energy, and digital infrastructure. This coconut business is positioned as a crucial first step in this endeavor, and we aim to develop it as an international collaboration model that extends beyond the agricultural and food sectors.
