Shinji Kajio

Born in Kumamoto Prefecture. Debuted as a writer in 1971 with "Pearls for Mia." Representative works include "Earth is Plain Yogurt," "Enshu Seiki" (Seiun Award winner), "Uncharted Planet Key Largo" (Kumamoto Nichinichi Literature Award winner), "Salamander Annihilation" (Japan SF Grand Prize winner), and the Emanon series, starting with "Omoide Emanon."
