Shinji Kajio (かじお・しんじ)

Born in Kumamoto Prefecture. Debuted as a writer in 1971 with "Pearls for Mia." Major works include "The Earth is Plain Yogurt," "Vengeful Star Zone" (received the Seiun Award), "Uncharted Planet Key Largo" (received the Kumamoto Nichi Nichi Shimbun Literary Award), "Salamander Annihilation" (received the Japan SF Award), and the Emon series, including "Emon of Memories."
