I remember many lessons I heard as a child. I still recall them sometimes.

"Let's get along with everyone."

"You must not tell lies."

Are these just "pretty words" we hear in childhood? Or are they teachings that remain valid even as adults?

I wrote this while thinking about such things.

What do you think about the words spoken by the protagonist, the store manager, who says, "I wonder if it's something like this?"

Mariko Yoshino

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture. Won the Excellence Award in the "Nippon Television Scenario Ryumon 2002" for "Funeral Newspaper". In 2005, won the 1st Shincho Entertainment Newcomer Award for "Autumn's Great Triangle". In 2018, won the Excellence Award in the Radio Drama Division of the Agency for Cultural Affairs Art Festival for "Paper Balloons from 73 Years Ago". In 2026, won the 73rd Sankei Children's Publishing Culture Award Nippon Broadcasting Award for "Throwing a White Rainbow". In addition to works such as "Rain Then Clear, with Rainbows Here and There", "Sky Blue Baumkuchen", and "Staircase Runner", she has also written many children's books including the "Team" series starting with "Team Futari", "The Plan to Reform a Nasty Person", and "I Have Been Watching for 100 Years".
