■ Project Background
For over 10 years, Kawabata has been involved in the development of renowned domestic and international home video game titles as a 3DCG artist. After moving to Hiroshima in 2021 and becoming an independent freelancer, he founded "TOI Inc." The company creates products under the theme: "Guiding you on a journey of new discoveries through art toys born from 'questions'."

In Hiroshima, the "peace" inherited as a lesson from the past coexists with the ordinary "peace" of the present. Therefore, we expressed the kaiju as a guardian deity that lives calmly in the present while carrying the layers of history. This project goes beyond the framework of a mere "souvenir" and aims to become an "art piece" that prompts reflection on Hiroshima's history.
