Toho Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Hirotaka Matsuoka) will open a new "Godzilla Store Hakata" (Hakata Marui 2F) and relocate and renew "Godzilla Store Umeda" (NU Chayamachi 7F) on Monday, April 6, 2026.

Expanding Godzilla Store Network Domestically and Internationally

The official Godzilla store, "Godzilla Store," currently operates four domestic stores in Tokyo and Osaka, in addition to its first overseas store, "Godzilla Store Taipei," which opened last September, and its second overseas store, "Godzilla Store Malaysia," which opened in January this year. These stores have been very well received by numerous Godzilla fans both in Japan and abroad as places where they can experience the Godzilla brand.

Following this success, it has been decided to open "Godzilla Store Hakata" at Hakata Marui in Fukuoka Prefecture, marking the first landing of a Godzilla Store in the Kyushu area. Furthermore, "Godzilla Store Umeda," which had been operating on the 5th floor of Daimaru Umeda Store, will close on Monday, March 9, due to large-scale renovation work on the South Gate Building where Daimaru Umeda Store is located, and will reopen after relocation to NU Chayamachi.

Inspired by "Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla," a local work from the Kyushu region, the store's interior uses red as its base color, with blue reminiscent of space and SpaceGodzilla, and silver reminiscent of M.O.G.E.R.A. as accent colors! A giant statue of approximately 2m, reminiscent of Godzilla (1994) from the same film, will welcome visitors!
