Eliminating "If only I had known sooner." Making pregnancy a choice, not fate. #AprilDream

TL Genomics Inc. (Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture, CEO: Tomohiro Kubo) expresses the following dream in support of PR TIMES' "April Dream" project.

To create a society where, when women start thinking about pregnancy, they don't regret, "If only I had known sooner." We aim to realize a future where pregnancy is a choice based on information, not fate.

【By the time they realized, time had passed — A reality many women face】

Approximately 1 in 4.4 couples experience infertility examinations/treatments, and about 1 in 2.5 couples worry about being infertile (National Institute of Population and Social Security Research). Despite this, many women experience "missing the timing for examination" or "realizing it when time had already passed."

The problem is not a lack of will or effort. It is a structural issue where "the information necessary for judgment simply did not exist."

Conventional AMH tests measure the "number" of eggs. However, some women with many eggs do not get pregnant, while others with few eggs conceive naturally. Something beyond just the "number" has remained invisible.

【Science reveals a new indicator】

Through joint research with the National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center and Osaka Metropolitan University, TL Genomics analyzed data from 500 women, primarily in their 30s. The results revealed that "cellular-level aging" can serve as an indicator of pregnancy potential. This achievement was published in February 2026 in the international academic journal in reproductive medicine, "Reproductive BioMedicine Online."

The three findings from the research are as follows:

① AMH (egg count) and cellular aging indicate different information

It was confirmed that there is no correlation between AMH values and cellular aging indicators. This suggests the possibility that individual differences not visible solely through egg count can be explained by the degree of bodily aging.

② As cellular aging progresses, the success rate of natural pregnancy tends to decrease

The relationship with pregnancy success rates was quantitatively confirmed by biological indicators at the cellular level, not chronological age.

③ Even with advanced cellular aging, there is no significant difference in the success rate of in vitro fertilization

This finding indicates the possibility of maintaining pregnancy potential by switching treatment strategies at an early stage. In other words, science shows that the current state of the body, rather than "age" or "egg count," holds significant meaning in decision-making.

【What "My Age F" aims to deliver】

The fertility test "My Age F" (for research use) measures cellular aging using changes in X chromosomes in the blood as an indicator, visualizing natural pregnancy potential. It can be taken by self-collecting blood at home and mailing it (25,600 yen including tax), with results delivered in approximately 10 days.

This test does not aim to "tell the correct answer." It aims to enable each choice — aiming for natural pregnancy, proceeding with in vitro fertilization early, or considering egg freezing — to be made based on the condition of one's body, rather than on intuition or anxiety.

CEO Tomohiro Kubo's research originated from his experience with his wife's high-risk pregnancy. That experience led to his awareness of the problem: "I want to eliminate situations where time passes without information, using technology."
