Art Moving Center Signs Official Partnership Agreement with the Japanese Wheelchair Rugby Federation

Art Moving Center Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President: Masato Terada) has signed an official partnership agreement with the Japanese Wheelchair Rugby Federation (JWRF) (Minato-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Tomohisa Yamano) on April 1.

Wheelchair rugby is a para-sport played by athletes with impairments in all four limbs using specialized wheelchairs. It is gaining global attention as a sport characterized by powerful play and high-level teamwork. The Japan national wheelchair rugby team has achieved excellent results in international tournaments, and the sport is gaining recognition and popularity both domestically and internationally.

While the sport is gaining recognition, the wheelchairs used are large and specialized, making their transport during training camps, expeditions, and tournaments a significant burden for athletes and staff. Under this official partnership agreement, our group will provide domestic transport for competition wheelchairs and other equipment during training camps, expeditions, and tournaments for JWRF-registered athletes. The transport operations will be handled by our group company, Art Setting Delivery Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Hideki Terada), which possesses expertise in this field.

This sponsorship was concluded based on our empathy for the values respected in wheelchair rugby, such as the teamwork and challenging spirit demonstrated by the athletes, as well as the fact that it is a mixed-gender sport where individuals can excel on the same field regardless of gender. Furthermore, we were motivated by a desire to contribute to solving the challenge of transport burdens associated with the sport.

As a company that proposes ways of living, our group will contribute to reducing the burden on athletes and staff and improving the competitive environment through transport support that leverages our expertise. By continuing to support the sport from the sidelines, we will contribute to the further development of wheelchair rugby and the realization of a society where everyone can continue to challenge themselves in their own way.
