Jorja Smith Announces Third Album "What Are The Odds"

Jorja Smith, a leading figure in the UK's alternative R&B scene, has announced the release of her highly anticipated third album, "What Are The Odds," on August 21, 2026, via FAMM. The pre-release single "Alive," featuring Wizkid, and its official music video have also been unveiled.

The new album is set to drop on August 21 (Fri), the same day Jorja will co-headline "All Points East" at Victoria Park in London with The xx. Lucky attendees will have the chance to experience the new tracks live at the venue on release day.

The new single "Alive (feat. WizKid)" is produced by long-time collaborator P2J (Beyoncé, Stormzy) and is a warm, flowing, and atmospheric collaboration between Jorja and Wizkid. The two artists wrote and recorded the song together in London, capturing the exhilaration of connection and the freshness of a budding romance. Rich instrumentation and delicate percussion beautifully complement the natural chemistry between two of the most distinctive voices in contemporary music.

The music video for "Alive (feat. WizKid)" was filmed in Paris by director Gabriel Trueman. It unfolds on a steamy summer night in Paris. Jorja, accompanied by her female friends, moves effortlessly from the streets to a hotel room and a late-night house party as the city lights up around them. As the night draws to a close, she finally reunites with Wizkid, and they perform the song from a balcony overlooking the city.

Regarding the music video for "Alive (feat. WizKid)," director Gabriel Trueman commented:

"I wanted 'Alive' to feel like an unforgettable summer night. Paris is warm, vibrant, and full of possibility, acting as almost another character in the film. At its core, it's an ode to friendship, connection, and the certainty of being present while feeling like this moment should never end."

Jorja's new album "What Are The Odds" is solely produced by P2J and features Wizkid and grime icon Devlin, who provides a verse from his iconic 2010 track "London City." With "What Are The Odds," Jorja embodies a euphoric, dance-oriented sound driven by UK garage, grime, 2-step, UK funky, soulful house, and Afro house. The 12-track album is designed to enhance experiences on the dance floor, at festivals, house parties, and during drives home at dawn.

The creation of the album "What Are The Odds" was almost serendipitous. After Jorja and P2J collaborated on "Little Things," they had a casual conversation about creating a dance project. When Jorja visited P2J's East London studio in September 2025, two years' worth of ideas awaited her. This led to the birth of "What Are The Odds," with the majority of the album taking shape in just three studio sessions.

Throughout "What Are The Odds," Jorja explores themes of friendship, grief, growth, self-discovery, and love. "For Life" speaks of enduring love for a friend struggling with addiction, "Pretend" confronts betrayal, "Young Heart" reflects on her younger self with affection and candor, and the title track delves into the reality of growing up under public scrutiny. "This City" includes a re-recorded version of Devlin's iconic "London City" verse, tracing the evolution of Jorja's relationship with London and reconnecting with the sounds and communities that inspired the album.

Crafted with her own vision, unswayed by external pressures, "What Are The Odds" showcases Jorja as more confident, open, and creatively energized than ever before. She rediscovers the joy of making music and reflects an artist who trusts her intuition without compromise.

This year also marks a significant milestone for Jorja. It's an anniversary since she first introduced her unique voice to the world with her debut album "Blue Lights." To celebrate this milestone, she contributed "Price Of It All" to the soundtrack of the Prime Video series "The Swarm" starring Riz Ahmed and appeared on the first season of "Saturday Night Live UK," continuing her impressive run.
