Grammy-winning singer/songwriter and rap legend EVERLAST is known as a member of the legendary crew RHYME SYNDICATE, which laid the foundation for West Coast hip-hop, and the hip-hop legends HOUSE OF PAIN, who dominated the 90s dance floors with their worldwide hit "Jump Around."
He has released "Losing Man's Game," the third single from his long-awaited new album in eight years, "Embers to Ashes" (out Friday, August 28), along with its music video.
The upcoming album "Embers to Ashes" is a raw and introspective collection of works that reflects a life shaped by lessons learned from bitter experiences, unexpected life-changing events, and moments of success and loss. Produced by Alabama-born rapper Yelawolf and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge, the album was recorded in Nashville. Songwriter David Ray, known for his work with Jelly Roll and Teddy Swims, also participated in the production, showcasing a more candid and emotional expression from Everlast than ever before.
Previously released singles "Stones" and "My Hollywood" have already garnered high praise from numerous media outlets, including VICE, Billboard, SPIN, CNN, Variety, Loudwire, and BroBible.
Everlast, born Erik Francis Schrody, is a rapper/singer-songwriter from the San Fernando Valley on the US West Coast. He broke out as a member of House of Pain with the 1992 worldwide hit "Jump Around." After going solo, his album 'Whitey Ford Sings the Blues' (1998) sold over 3 million copies and is also known for the hit "What It's Like." He also won a Grammy for "Put Your Lights On," a collaboration with Carlos Santana. With a unique style that crosses hip-hop, rock, blues, folk, and Americana, he has continued to influence the music scene for over 30 years.
