Fukuoka City has been continuing its efforts since last fiscal year to provide information on local restaurants that offer menus catering to diverse food cultures and dietary habits, such as vegan and vegetarian options, via the official tourist information site for international visitors, "FUKUOKA CITY Official Tourist Guide."

This fiscal year, we have added over 30 new restaurants to the listings, further expanding the content.

We have also launched a new Japanese-language portal site, "Fukuoka City Universal Food Accessibility Promotion Project," allowing users to browse information on participating local restaurants in Japanese as well.

Furthermore, in addition to the web listings, we have produced both Japanese and English guidebooks, which are now available at tourist information centers and lodging facilities throughout the city.

### [Initiatives of the Fukuoka City Universal Food Accessibility Promotion Project]

To ensure that tourists with diverse food cultures and dietary habits visiting Fukuoka can enjoy their meals with peace of mind, we are disseminating information on restaurants that can accommodate dietary diversity, such as vegan and vegetarian needs.

By providing information through both the website and guidebooks, we are creating an environment that allows for a smooth experience, from gathering information before visiting Japan to finding restaurants during your stay.

We invite you to come and find your own favorite "Delicious Fukuoka."

<Main Features> ① Guidebook: Produced in two languages (Japanese and English) and distributed throughout the city We have prepared guidebooks summarizing restaurant information in both Japanese and English. Each restaurant's accommodation details (vegan, vegetarian, etc.) and the availability of English menus are clearly displayed using icons.

Additionally, the guidebooks contain information on Fukuoka City tourism and other useful travel tips. Starting in April 2026, these guidebooks will be available at tourist information centers, lodging facilities, and other locations throughout the city, allowing you to check restaurant information and other useful travel tips while on the go. Please be sure to pick one up when you visit Fukuoka.

② Website: Clearly displays accommodation details with icons and introduces restaurants through photos and videos Information on local restaurants is posted on the special page "EAT FUKUOKA" within the tourist information site for international visitors, as well as on the Japanese-language portal site "Fukuoka City Universal Food Accessibility Promotion Project." To make it easy to understand which food cultures and dietary habits each restaurant can accommodate, information such as vegan and vegetarian options is displayed using icons, supporting a smooth search for restaurants that suit your needs.
