'TechHigher', a digital talent development service for teenagers operated by Exceed Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Aiko Sawabe), will host a special game creation course, "How to Think About and Proceed With Interesting Games", starting in April 2026, sponsored by the programming school "Atelier Yu".
This course is a program where you can systematically learn everything from the basics of game creation to practical application, welcoming Isao Moro, the former director of Nintendo's popular "Animal Crossing" series, as the instructor.
Held last year (FY2025) to a great response from many elementary, junior high, and high school students, this year's course has evolved to be even more accessible and practical. By combining self-study using video materials with online workshops and personalized advice, we strongly support the game development of each individual participant.
### <Features of the Special Course 2026> This year's course will be provided in a hybrid format of "video learning" where you can learn at your own pace, and "online workshops/individual advice" where you can receive direct instruction.
- Basic learning through video materials Utilizing the archive videos of the lectures held in FY2025, you can learn at your own pace about the job of a game creator, project planning, and how to generate ideas.
- Practical online workshops Online workshops using Zoom will be held in mid-July and late August. Through presentations of project plans among participants and group work, students will refine their games while incorporating the perspectives of others.
- Comprehensive individual support All participants will be granted the right to a 30-minute individual advice meeting (online) in addition to direct email feedback from Mr. Moro. At any stage, from planning to production and the presentation of the final product, participants can receive advice from a professional perspective.
