TESS Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Yodogawa-ku, Osaka; President: Kazuki Yamamoto; hereinafter 'the Company') announces that its consolidated subsidiary, TESS Engineering Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Yodogawa-ku, Osaka; President: Toshihiro Takasaki; hereinafter 'TESS Engineering'), has received an order from Takasawa Sangyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture; President: Akihiro Takasawa; hereinafter 'Takasawa Sangyo') for the installation of a 'grid-scale battery energy storage system'. ■ Overview of the Order This project involves the installation of a grid-scale battery energy storage system (capacity of approximately 8.9 MWh) for which Takasawa Sangyo will act as the operator. A 'grid-scale battery energy storage system' refers to batteries connected directly to the power transmission grid, installed to stabilize power systems that have become unstable due to the proliferation of renewable energy power plants. TESS Engineering previously supplied solar power generation equipment to Takasawa Sangyo in 2014, and this contract was secured based on the ongoing relationship maintained through subsequent maintenance and other services. Following installation, TESS Engineering will continue to provide maintenance, as well as 24-hour remote monitoring and operational management (aggregation) services, contributing to long-term stable operation. ■ TESS Group's Initiatives Regarding Grid-Scale Battery Energy Storage Systems In its initiatives concerning grid-scale battery energy storage systems, the TESS Group handles everything in-house—from site development and financial feasibility studies to design, procurement, construction, maintenance, and operational management (aggregation)—enabling a one-stop service approach. This initiative is one of the focus business areas in the 'TX2030' medium-term management plan formulated and announced by the Group in August 2024. The Group has set a cumulative construction capacity target of 700 MW by 2030 and intends to continue working proactively toward achieving this goal. 〈Overview of the Facility〉 ClientTakasawa Sangyo Co., Ltd.LocationNogata City, Fukuoka PrefectureSystem DetailsGrid-scale battery energy storage system PCS Output: 2,556 kW, Capacity: 8,944 kWh (HUAWEI 4,472 kW x 2 units)Scheduled CompletionJune 2027【About TESS Engineering Co., Ltd.】
