The group is also rebuilding its management foundation by standardizing and simplifying processes and renewing core systems, accelerating transformation and value creation in business and headquarters divisions. As part of this strategy, the group identified the need to improve HR operational quality and employee experience, leading to the consideration of adopting a Digital Adoption Platform (DAP).

With the new HR core system introduced in 2025, concerns arose about reduced operational efficiency and user errors due to confusion during system operation. Particularly for annual processes like 'year-end tax adjustments,' traditional methods such as distributing manuals or providing FAQs were insufficient for delivering real-time, accurate support. This resulted in increased inquiries to the HR department and frequent rejections of submissions, posing operational challenges.

To address the need for 'providing timely and appropriate support when users need it,' Canon MJ decided to implement TechTouch, which offers in-process navigation to eliminate user confusion, thereby improving accuracy and efficiency in operations.

Key Factors in Adoption Decision

TechTouch was selected for its ability to be rapidly deployed and its user-friendly operability, enabling continuous improvement driven by frontline teams. Within a short period, Canon MJ Group implemented TechTouch for year-end adjustment tasks and has since expanded its use to goal-setting processes and application portals. Additionally, the platform allows staff to intuitively create guidance materials themselves, facilitating the establishment of an in-house improvement cycle.

Utilization Results and Future Plans

Following implementation, the solution was rolled out to approximately 13,000 employees across the group, achieving cumulative operational time savings of about 2,000 hours within two months. Employee surveys and feedback confirm the tool's usefulness, with the system showing early adoption from both quantitative and qualitative perspectives. This has also contributed to reducing ancillary tasks such as HR inquiries and re-submissions. Going forward, the group plans to expand usage beyond year-end adjustments, goal setting, and various application processes to include attendance management and complex tasks for HR staff. The group also aims to extend deployment to non-adopting group companies. Furthermore, Canon MJ has entered into a sales partnership agreement with TechTouch Inc. to promote 'TechTouch.'
