Techmatrix Begins Sales of C/C++ Language Test Tool "C/C++test 2025.2"

Techmatrix Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Takaharu Yai; hereinafter "Techmatrix") announced that it will begin sales of "C/C++test 2025.2," a C/C++ language test tool developed by Parasoft Corporation (Headquarters: California, USA; CEO: Elizabeth Kolawa; hereinafter "Parasoft"), starting May 12, 2026.

C/C++test is an all-in-one C/C++ language test tool equipped with static analysis (coding rule checking, flow analysis) and dynamic analysis (unit testing, coverage measurement, runtime memory error detection, etc.). It is utilized in various fields such as embedded software development for automotive, industrial, medical, and office automation equipment, middleware development, and Windows/Linux application development. By incorporating static analysis and unit testing with C/C++test into the development process, improved testing efficiency and enhanced source code quality can be expected.

This version upgrade includes the integration of an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, enabling seamless tool usage in conjunction with AI agents and LLM (Large Language Model)-based coding assistants (such as GitHub Copilot). The MCP server provides AI agents with static analysis results, rule documents for detected violations, and user guide information, allowing them to suggest specific corrective actions for violations and solutions for tool usage issues.

Support for coding standards has been strengthened with "full compliance" with the latest C coding standard, MISRA C:2025 (published March 2025). MISRA C:2025 is positioned as an improved version of MISRA C:2023, featuring rule deletions/aggregations to reduce compliance burden, clarification of policies for AI-generated code, and stricter pointer and union management to enhance functional safety. Additionally, the number of rules corresponding to CWE (Common Weakness Enumeration) has significantly increased, with rules available for 107 types of CWE-IDs.

Other enhancements include strengthened static analysis suppression functions, improved detailed coverage report generation for unit tests, and added support for environments such as NVIDIA CUDA Compiler 12.8. Parasoft DTP, an accompanying application for C/C++test, has added features such as "test failure classification" and an AI chatbot integrated with LLM.

As the exclusive distributor of Parasoft products in Japan, Techmatrix will strengthen its sales, marketing, and user support activities for C/C++test as an optimal tool to solve the challenges of all customers involved in software development.

Equipped with an MCP server to enhance collaboration with AI agents

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server has been integrated. The MCP server acts as a "bridge" mechanism, allowing AI agents to access external systems and data. By providing AI agents with structured data linked to static analysis reports, coding standards like MISRA, and safety standards, the MCP server enables AI agents to obtain information they would not possess on their own, allowing them to generate answers and proposals that incorporate this information. AI agents or LLM-based coding assistants (such as GitHub Copilot) that support MCP can be easily integrated. This feature is available in LLM-compatible development environments (Eclipse, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, etc.) that support integration with the MCP server.

Examples of inquiries to AI agents:

- Autonomous suggestion of corrections for violations detected by static analysis - Explanation of rules and optimization of rule sets - Developer support, such as checking tool usage
