## What is Laravel Live Japan 2026

Laravel Live Japan 2026 is being held in Japan for the first time as an official international conference for 'Laravel,' a PHP framework used by millions of developers worldwide. The organizer is Ryuta Hamasaki, the only Japanese engineer belonging to Laravel Inc. He first attended Laracon US (Chicago) in 2018 and experienced the shock of seeing the creator of the framework he uses daily standing before him. Later, his career took a significant turn after speaking at Laracon EU, which led to his joining Laravel Inc. Driven by the desire to share 'that day's shock with engineers in Japan,' he launched this event.

While Japan's PHP community is globally very active, there has been a challenge of participants and speakers being confined within the country. Many overseas engineers have also expressed a desire for an 'international Laravel conference in Japan,' and this event has been realized to meet those expectations.
