(Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo / President and CEO Shinichi Terui), "Pokémon Frenda," which has surpassed 200 million cumulative plays approximately 1 year and 7 months (591 days) after its launch. "Pokémon Frenda" is a kids' amusement machine where players battle Pokémon, capture Pokémon, and collect "Frenda Picks" dispensed from the cabinet. It began operation nationwide at amusement facilities and game centers on Thursday, July 11, 2024. The "Twin Cabinet," which normally allows two players to play on one machine, offers thrilling battles on two large monitors mounted on the top and center of the cabinet when "Tag Play" (simultaneous play) occurs, connecting the adjacent screens. Furthermore, the central monitor (player's side) features a touch panel, allowing for intuitive and immersive gameplay as the game visuals and touch actions on the screen are synchronized. We are pleased to announce that "Pokémon Frenda" has surpassed 200 million cumulative plays approximately 1 year and 7 months after its launch (as of February 21, 2026, after 591 days). The speed at which it reached 200 million plays in 591 days is the fastest record among all previous Pokémon kids' amusement machines. "Pokémon Frenda," which allows players to enjoy encounters with various Pokémon through battles, will launch a campaign on Saturday, April 11th, targeting new users to "Pokémon Frenda" as well, delivering an enriched play experience with even more encounters. * "Cumulative play count" is calculated by counting the number of times coins were inserted into the cabinet as one play. In April, coinciding with the entrance and school season, we will launch a major campaign called "Pokémon Frenda: Unprecedented 3 Big Missions." The first installment of the campaign, "Debut Support! Get Your Pokémon!" will run from Saturday, April 11th, targeting users experiencing "Pokémon Frenda" for the first time. Participants will receive one of three Pokémon: "Nyakoha," "Hitokage," or "Pocchama" at stores nationwide where "Pokémon Frenda" is installed. This campaign realistically recreates the Pokémon world experience where "the adventure begins after receiving your first Pokémon from the professor," a common event in the early stages of game software and TV anime. By speaking to store staff, customers can choose and receive a "Frenda Pick" of their favorite Pokémon from the three available. Furthermore, these three "Frenda Picks" will have new functions added through timed releases, becoming special "Frenda Picks" that continuously grow stronger (*1).
