Yoshimasa Tamura, Instructor

Joined the Ministry of Transport (now Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) in 1985 (passed the National Public Service Senior Class A Mechanical Engineering exam).

Experienced in shipping, aviation, advanced science and technology, nuclear power, disaster prevention, and personnel systems.

In his 30s, he introduced a global maritime distress and safety system using satellite and digital communications through an amendment to the Ship Safety Act. This was a major turning point since the Titanic. Afterwards, he worked at JETRO New York, handling Japan-US trade.

From his 40s onwards, he served in management positions at the Science and Technology Agency, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and National Personnel Authority.

He was responsible for technical policies and disaster prevention at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and oversaw national public servant recruitment at the National Personnel Authority.

Currently, as an instructor for TAC's National Comprehensive Public Service Course, he is in charge of government office visit preparation, interview preparation, and secondary examination preparation for the General Education Division (planning proposal preparation, policy issue discussion preparation).
