Sunvillage Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Choji Mihara; hereinafter "the Company") announces that its high-voltage grid-connected energy storage facilities constructed in Ōta City, Gunma Prefecture, and Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture, have entered the supply-demand adjustment market as of June 27, 2026.
These facilities mark the Company's first market operation using self-aggregation within the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) service area, participating in the wholesale electricity market, supply-demand adjustment market, and capacity market. To date, the Company has successfully interconnected 42 grid-scale energy storage facilities nationwide: 25 in the Chubu Electric Power area, 15 in the TEPCO area, and 2 in the Tohoku Electric Power area. Moving forward, Sunvillage will gradually expand its self-aggregation framework and continue deploying market operations for its self-developed energy storage facilities.
Since its founding in 2012, the Company has operated under the philosophy of "harmony and collaboration with local communities," with a policy of realizing "safe and reliable power and energy storage facilities." As the expansion of renewable energy adoption makes grid stability and supply-demand balance increasingly critical societal challenges, Sunvillage is focusing on aggregation as a core business to enhance supply-demand adjustment capabilities. The Company plans to advance the development and construction of approximately 250 grid-connected energy storage facilities nationwide, with a total output capacity of 500 MW, contributing to stable energy supply and the realization of a decarbonized society through energy infrastructure development.
