1. Lesson Design That Reawakens the 'Joy of Academic Learning'
Students who succeed in entering their desired universities through Sundai often reflect that they 'discovered the joy of learning as an academic pursuit.' We will explain effective teaching techniques and high-quality problems that help students overcome weaknesses and turn them into strengths. Our sessions are designed so both students and teachers can rediscover the joy of learning.
2. Abundant Know-How for 'Exam-Relevant Instruction'
The Common Test has now been in place for five years. Do you lack the know-how to guide students through this milestone you yourself never experienced? We will carefully select high-quality problems from the 2026 entrance exams and provide explanations and teaching methods grounded in years of exam research.
3. Exploring Educators’ Learning Beyond Curriculum and Reform
We will explore together with teachers how to guide students in short essays and interviews, as well as new subjects such as 'Information I.' Additionally, we will share insights on ideal teaching approaches—such as mental support for examinees and how to accompany students while respecting their autonomy—offering fresh perspectives for educators.
【Testimonials from Participating Schools and Teachers】
Authentic lectures only Sundai can deliver have earned strong support from educators nationwide. Registration is open to both individuals and schools. (Summarized excerpts)
Shibuya Education Garden Makuhari High School (Chiba Prefecture): I have personally attended nearly 150 seminars over the past 20 years. The opportunity to co-author reference books and problem sets with Sundai instructors came directly from the connections made through these seminars. Recently, I continue to participate, especially in world history and civics lectures outside my specialty.
Hiroo Gakuen High School (Tokyo): The difficulty level of the Sundai Educational Research Seminar matches our students’ academic profile. It benefits teachers from beginners to veterans. The approaches to entrance exam problems are particularly helpful, and we actively apply what we learn to our daily lessons.
'A lecture that fills me with things I want to share and ignites motivation' (Individual participant / English): I was reminded once again how important Japanese language skills are. I want to first convey to my students 'what truly matters in studying.'
'Helpful for guiding students aiming for the University of Tokyo’s Science Division' (Individual participant / Mathematics): The guidance on selecting teaching materials and explaining concepts to students targeting Tokyo’s Science Division was extremely helpful. I was able to apply these insights directly in my classroom.
'Insightful on the foundational knowledge and cultural literacy needed as an educator' (Individual participant / Modern Japanese Literature): While the teaching methodology explanations are useful, I am always stimulated by discussions on the foundational assumptions of teaching modern literature and other broad cultural knowledge. After changing schools and struggling with setting appropriate lesson levels, I plan to apply the teaching methods introduced here, including my approach to modern literature, starting tomorrow.
'Clarified how to approach students effectively' (Individual participant / Japanese History): I now understand where to focus in class and what kind of approach to students is essential. I strongly agree with the point that for students to find lessons convincing and realistic, 'teachers must engage them through past exam analysis.'
