Features of this Seminar
1. Lesson Design to Rediscover the "Fascination of Academia"
Students who have been admitted to their desired schools through Sundai often reflect that they "discovered the fascination of academia." We will explain key points for lessons and good questions to alleviate feelings of difficulty and turn them into strong subjects. We have prepared units where both students and teachers can rediscover the "joy of learning."
2. Abundant Know-how for "Directly Applicable Exam Guidance"
It has been 5 years since the Common Test began. Are you lacking confidence due to a lack of know-how to overcome this hurdle, which you haven't experienced yourself? We have carefully selected excellent questions from the 2026 entrance examination problems and propose explanations and teaching methods based on years of entrance examination research.
3. Exploring Educational Reform and Learning for Instructors in Extracurricular Fields
We will consider with teachers topics such as essay and interview guidance, and "Information I." We will also provide hints for acquiring new perspectives on the ideal role of a teacher who supports students' mental well-being and accompanies them while respecting their autonomy.
[Attended Schools and Participant Testimonials]
The realistic lectures that only Sundai can deliver are supported by many teachers nationwide. Applications can be made by individuals or by school.
Shibuya Education Shibuya Makuhari High School (Chiba Prefecture): I myself have taken nearly 150 courses over 20 years. The fact that I was able to co-author reference books and workbooks with Sundai instructors is a result of the exchange through the seminar. Recently, I have been participating mainly in courses on World History and Civics outside my specialty.
Hiroo Gakuen High School (Tokyo): The difficulty level of the Sundai Educational Research Seminar is suitable for the academic level of our students, and it is beneficial for any teacher, from young to veteran. The approach to entrance examination problems was particularly helpful, and I have been applying what I learned in the seminar to my daily lessons.
"Lectures that spark motivation and a desire to convey information" (Individual participant / English): I was able to reconfirm the importance of Japanese language proficiency. I want to first convey to students "what they should focus on when studying."
"Helpful for guiding students aiming for Todai Science" (Individual participant / Mathematics): The advice on selecting materials and explaining concepts for students aiming for Todai Science was very helpful, and I was able to conduct lessons incorporating this.
"Stimulating prerequisites, general knowledge, and expertise as an educator" (Individual participant / Modern Japanese): While the explanations of teaching methods are helpful, the discussions on the prerequisites for teaching Modern Japanese and various other general knowledge and expertise are always stimulating. My school changed, and I was struggling with setting the lesson level, but I will use the teaching methods I learned this time as a reference, including how to approach Modern Japanese, starting tomorrow.
"Understood what kind of approach to take with students" (Individual participant / Japanese History): I understood what to focus on in lessons and what kind of approach is important for students. I strongly resonated with the idea that "it is necessary for the instructor, as a teacher, to engage students through past exam analysis" for students to feel the persuasiveness and reality of the lesson.
