Sumutasu Partners with Money Forward Home to Support Home Sales via 'Money Forward ME' Service

Sumutasu Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Naoya Kanesaka), provider of the 'Money Forward ME' financial visualization service, to support home sales.

This partnership combines Money Forward Home's established foundation in asset management with Sumutasu's expertise in certain and speedy sales leveraging AI, aiming to eliminate the uncertainties inherent in apartment sales.

In recent years, both domestic apartment prices and the rate of existing home acquisitions have been on an upward trend (*1), suggesting an increase in the number of pre-owned properties on the market. However, selling an apartment comes with uncertainty.

A survey of 'Money Forward ME' users (*2) revealed that while about 30% of apartment owners have considered selling, approximately 41% of them did not proceed. The main deterrents were "no guarantee of selling at a satisfactory price" (30.5%) and "not knowing when it will sell" (22.0%), indicating that "uncertainty" in the sales process is a major bottleneck.

Through 'Money Forward ME,' Money Forward Home has promoted the visualization of asset value, viewing real estate as a means for future asset formation. Sumutasu provides the AI-powered apartment sales service 'Sumutasu Baikyaku.' To date, the service has conducted over 57,671 appraisals, totaling more than 1.7 trillion yen in appraised value (*3).
