SUISO JAPAN Co., Ltd. (CEO: Yo Inaishi) and the agricultural corporation Morvel Farm Co., Ltd. (CEO: Yu Mori) have launched a joint development project for next-generation hydroponics utilizing high-concentration hydrogen water. This initiative is based on the shared philosophy of both companies to 'deliver safe, secure, and more delicious agricultural products to consumers,' representing an innovative challenge in applying hydrogen technology to the agricultural sector. By adding new value to conventional hydroponics, the project aims to further evolve 'quality-oriented agriculture.'
Morvel Farm practices 'agriculture calculated from usage,' conducting thorough market research to analyze how products are used in various dining scenes. By optimizing variety selection, cultivation environment design, and quality adjustment, they achieve taste that is immediately noticeable. Their produce is already widely adopted by major chains such as Starbucks Coffee, FamilyMart, and Pronto Corporation.
In recent years, hydrogen has garnered attention for its potential to positively influence plant growth. Morvel Farm identified this potential and partnered with SUISO JAPAN, which possesses proprietary technology for stably dissolving high concentrations of hydrogen into water. The project will verify growth speed, nutritional value, and taste from multiple perspectives.
SUISO JAPAN is a manufacturer of hydrogen inhalers (Suilive brand) with ISO13485 certification. Their technology has been applied to agriculture since 2025, with successful experiments on rice, green onions, strawberries, and turf. CEO Inaishi stated, 'We will continue to pursue scientific evidence to establish hydrogen farming as a new option, contributing to the value enhancement of everyone involved in agriculture.'
