Sugino Machine Limited (Uozu City, Toyama Prefecture) will implement major organizational changes effective April 1 of this year.
1. Purpose of Organizational Changes
We are reorganizing our structure based on our mid-term management plan, 'Vision for 2029,' formulated to enable us to conduct business while responding to various changes and demands, such as Japan's declining population, global instability, DX, GX, and SDGs.
Celebrating our 90th anniversary this March, we aim to fulfill our mission of 'contributing to the world through technology' in 2036, our 100th anniversary, and beyond. Under the new organizational structure, we will strive to develop new technologies and expand businesses that 'only Sugino Machine can provide.' Furthermore, we will evolve and deepen our 'Glocal Niche Leader Strategy,' which involves being rooted in a local Japanese city while competing globally and capturing the top spot in niche markets.
2. Main Changes
We are transitioning from the structure of five headquarters (Corporate Planning, Administration, Legal & IP, Quality Assurance, Procurement) and three product-based business divisions (Precision Machinery, Plant Equipment, RI) to the following:
1. Establishment of the DX Division, Development Division, and Overseas Business Division.
2. Reorganization of the three product-based business divisions into the Precision Machinery Division, High-Pressure Equipment Division, and PRI Division, aligned with business models.
3. Objectives of New Organizations
- DX Division: Established to integrate internal DX functions and expand them externally to respond to rapid global DX. We will accelerate the achievement of our mid-term plan by connecting systems, data, operations, equipment, and products.
- Development Division: Maintains and develops the 'super-technology' that is the root of Sugino Machine. It will also manage cross-group development projects.
- Overseas Business Division: Aims to align the group's vector globally by conducting overseas strategy planning, talent development, and market research.
- Precision Machinery Division: Provides a wide range of products and solutions, including machining centers and robots, responding to DX, GX, and SDGs.
- High-Pressure Equipment Division: Specializes in products utilizing our core 'ultra-high-pressure water' technology, catering to markets like hydrogen, batteries, and recycling.
