Institutionalizing Education with Teachme Biz Manual System
Studyist Corporation, a firm supporting lean operations, announced that Hata Consultant, which specializes in construction-focused training, has successfully used the manual creation and sharing system "Teachme Biz" to institutionalize its consultant training processes.
Previously, Hata Consultant relied heavily on one-on-one direct instruction from its CEO, requiring three years for a new consultant to become fully independent. As the business scaled with more projects and distributed locations, this educational structure became a bottleneck. By implementing Teachme Biz, the firm visualized and standardized the intuitive know-how of veteran instructors through videos and images.
The firm built a three-layered educational system combining "foundational knowledge acquisition," "learning through practice videos," and "direct instruction from the CEO" to optimize the learning path. This methodology was also applied to streamline operations for new, diversified business lines, enabling rapid business expansion.
As a result, the training period was dramatically shortened from three years to just six months—a six-fold improvement. This efficiency directly translated into business growth: while the staff count doubled, individual productivity increased, resulting in a 3x increase in revenue and an 8x increase in profit compared to 2020 levels. Furthermore, the established educational framework has become a competitive advantage in recruitment, reassuring candidates of a structured growth path.
Hata Consultant plans to further deepen the use of Teachme Biz as an educational foundation to accelerate organizational scaling and new service development. Tatsuo Furihata, Representative Director of Hata Consultant, stated that Teachme Biz is an essential infrastructure for boosting productivity and achieving the firm's mission of elevating the technological capabilities of the construction industry.
