[3 Brands] Launching special order items from popular umbrella brand 'Wpc.' - compact parasols catering to "heat shielding" needs

Stripe International Inc. (Headquarters: Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Masashi Kawabe) will begin handling umbrellas from the popular brand "Wpc." (Daburyupishi), developed by World Party Inc. (Headquarters: Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka; Representative Director and President: Tomoo Tomita), across its brands "earth music&ecology," "Green Parks," and "AMERICAN HOLIC."

In recent years, against the backdrop of rising temperatures and prolonged heatwaves, the needs for parasols have changed. In addition to traditional "UV cut" and "light blocking," there is growing interest in heat protection functions such as "heat shielding," and more practical items are being sought. In response to these market trends, our company has positioned "heat shielding" as a new appeal point and will handle Wpc. parasols at "earth music&ecology," "Green Parks," and "AMERICAN HOLIC."

This time, special order items from Wpc.'s popular folding umbrella series "Shakou Kiritsugi Tiny" are making their debut. While maintaining features such as 100% UV cut and light blocking fabric, a "cooling sensation" (※2) that can make you feel a difference of up to 20.2℃ (※1) when holding the umbrella, lightweight and compact design, and all-weather use, these special order designs incorporate color schemes and prints tailored to each brand's concept.

Furthermore, each umbrella comes with an original logo pouch that has been treated with water repellent and waterproof finishes. A carabiner is attached to the pouch, allowing it to be clipped to bags, making it a convenient and fashionable item. By offering items that excel in both functionality and design, we propose parasols as "a part of fashion" rather than just a measure against heat.

In addition, our company is developing a product group called the "Tekion Series" that responds to temperature and environmental changes, and this initiative is positioned as part of that effort.
