"Feather" Together Against Fraud and for Integrity! Land Bank's Youth Badminton Summer Camp Heats Up

On July 15, 2026, Land Bank of Taiwan held its 'Youth Badminton Summer Camp' at its Employee Training Center, themed 'Badminton in Motion, Integrity in Action,' promoting integrity and anti-fraud education. The program featured national badminton athletes personally coaching youth in physical fitness and professional techniques, using interactive learning to instill anti-fraud and integrity awareness from an early age.

The camp opened with a symbolic relay of large balls, representing the continuity of spirit and emotion. Yellow, green, and blue balls respectively symbolized 'legacy of honor,' 'hope for the future,' and 'vision of belief,' vividly expressing Land Bank's 80th anniversary values of heritage, unity, and forward momentum.

Land Bank's Youth Badminton Summer Camp has long received acclaim, with its star-studded coaching team being a highlight each year. This year, active Division A players and coaches from the Land Bank Badminton Team once again provided on-site guidance, teaching physical fitness knowledge and fundamental badminton skills to youth and underprivileged children through fun, interactive, and educational methods.

However, fraud cases spike during summer vacation. According to statistics from Taiwan's National Police Agency, there were approximately 190,000 fraud cases in 2025, with 73.48% of victims aged between 18 and 49. Some students have even unwittingly become 'runners' for fraud syndicates, underscoring that integrity, anti-corruption, and anti-fraud education have become essential subjects for youth.

To ensure that youth enhance their integrity and anti-fraud awareness while improving their athletic skills, Land Bank introduced an innovative 'sports, theater, and interactive learning' format into this year's camp curriculum. By integrating life theater performances, anti-fraud scenario simulations, quiz contests, and team-building games, the program effectively strengthens participants' understanding and practice of the principle 'integrity in heart, anti-fraud in action.' Themes such as integrity, honesty, anti-fraud, and rule of law were embedded into the curriculum to enhance students' risk identification and moral judgment capabilities.

As a 100% state-owned bank, Land Bank actively supports national policies, fully implementing the government's five anti-fraud strategies: 'identify, block, prevent, stop, and punish fraud.' It has strengthened counter fraud measures and customer care at branches to protect clients' assets. Its efforts have been recognized with the 'Anti-Fraud Award' from the Chinese Banking Association and the 'Anti-Fraud Joint Defense Contribution Award' from FISC (Financial Information Sharing and Collaboration). This year, outstanding employees were also honored by the Ministry of Finance as 'Exemplary Personnel for Integrity.' In response to the National Development Council's Archives Administration's emphasis on historical documentation, the bank integrated archival materials to highlight the inspiring stories of its badminton team, showcasing the value of precious historical records.
