◾️〜About the Background of "Napkin Q"〜
For many women who experience menstruation regularly, anxieties such as "getting an unexpected period and being in trouble" or "not being able to get sanitary pads when out" still persist.
Adolescent girls, in particular, often struggle with sudden periods because their menstrual cycles are not yet stable, and the hurdle for purchasing sanitary products is higher compared to adults.
A unique survey conducted by the JK Clinic Secretariat at a co-ed junior and senior high school for girls in the Kansai region revealed that approximately 78% of students cited "installation of sanitary products in toilets, etc." as something they would like schools to address regarding menstruation during their school life.
"Sudden periods" is one of those "common problems" for women that men are surprisingly unaware of.
On the other hand, the free distribution of sanitary products in public facilities is gradually expanding. However, for companies, businesses, facilities, and schools, even if they understand the necessity of such support for women, they find it difficult to permanently install sanitary products due to "installation work," "operational burden," "costs," and "management手間."
"Napkin Q" was developed as a mechanism to solve these issues and realize women's support more naturally.
◾️〜What "Napkin Q" Aims For〜
"Napkin Q" is a service that installs sanitary napkins in facility restrooms and other locations, supporting women's "peace of mind during emergencies," while also connecting this opportunity to gynecological healthcare support.
Menstruation is difficult to predict, and there are many situations where one is suddenly inconvenienced.
Especially among adolescents, there is the challenge of feeling anxious about sudden periods and changes in physical condition, yet finding it difficult to consult with those around them.
"Napkin Q" is a project that aims to expand a safe and accessible environment for such "what if" moments across the nation.

A woman's menstrual cycle is not always predictable. It can often be disturbed by minor factors, and every woman has likely experienced the inconvenience of a sudden period. Adolescent girls, in particular, have not yet reached a stable menstrual cycle, and at the same time, they cannot easily purchase sanitary products at convenience stores or drugstores.
Therefore, "Napkin Q" aims to create a safe space and social environment, especially for younger generations, by providing an environment where sanitary products can be freely obtained even during sudden periods or when one doesn't have them on hand.
Since "Napkin Q" is solely intended to provide support in times of need, it prevents excessive take-out of sanitary products and waste of resources. Additionally, the BOX includes "JK Clinic" leaflets, gynecological examination cards, and gynecological healthcare awareness materials from various organizations we partner with, serving as a guide for appropriate medical consultation behavior and women's healthcare awareness activities.
As we expand gynecological healthcare into society, we believe that by leveraging the timing when women themselves are in need and initiatives that support such women as opportunities to promote gynecological healthcare, we can more powerfully advance the appropriate gynecological examinations aimed for by "JK Clinic."
Through the "visible support" of providing sanitary products, we will encourage women to increase their interest in their own bodies and health, leading to appropriate gynecological examinations when necessary.
