Danish sportswear brand hummel has been decided as the uniform partner for Aleeza Aichi, which announced its rebranding ahead of the 2026-27 season of the Daido Life SV.LEAGUE WOMEN, set to open in October 2026. The club held a rebranding press conference in Nagoya City on June 30, where they also unveiled the new uniforms.

SV League's Aleeza Aichi

Aleeza Aichi's predecessor was a volleyball club founded in 1951, and it was known as Queens Kariya until the 2025-26 season. Ahead of the 2026-27 Daido Life SV.LEAGUE WOMEN season, the club has undergone a rebranding, adopting the coined name ALEEZA (meaning a combination of Ally, signifying friends and companions, and Breeze, signifying wind and gusts), expanding its operational area to encompass all of Aichi Prefecture, and will now operate as Aleeza Aichi.

To rebrand as Aleeza Aichi, extensive interviews and discussions were held with management, players, staff, and fans, leading to the establishment of new mission and vision statements. The mission is "To support everyone's 'positive first step,'" and the vision is "To keep showcasing challenges." The daily practices and efforts that constitute their growth process will also be actively communicated. By sharing the "growing story" of continuous challenges and solidarity with fans, the club aims to become a team that fans can passionately support and a presence that can encourage others to take a step forward.

At the press conference, Representative Hidenori Kitakawa stated, "Today is not the completion of our new brand, but the start with our fans, sponsors, and the local community. We ask that you become our ALLY (companion) and help us build a wonderful future together." Team Coordinator Erika Araki added, "The value of 'connecting' in volleyball extends beyond sports; it is a means to 'connect' people and revitalize the region. Centered around our new base, we aim to create a place with a sense of unity and sustainability throughout the club."

New Uniforms Expressing the Worldview of the Emblem

The uniforms express the worldview of the new emblem across the entire shirt, both front and back. A simple design features the "A" logo symbolizing the team name on the back and front. The chevron lines placed on the sides are one of hummel's design motifs, signifying team spirit, progress, and expansion into the future. By making one side of the chevron a slit, it expresses the flow of each player's movements overlapping and moving forward and upward as a single "wind," which also aligns with the team name.

The club color is "Aleeza Purple," a deep shade symbolizing the team's strength and elegance, inspired by the iris (Kakitsubata), the prefectural flower of Aichi. The 1st uniform is in Aleeza Purple, and the 2nd uniform is based on white.

Player Ayano Sato, who will serve as captain in the 2026-27 season, expressed her happiness to be a player in the inaugural year of Aleeza Aichi and her resolve as captain, stating, "We players want to continue challenging ourselves, aiming to be a presence that makes people feel our attitude towards volleyball and our positive, energetic team atmosphere, and inspires them to say, 'I want to take a step forward with courage too.'"

The club's opening match will be their first official game held overseas, taking place at the Huamark Indoor Stadium in Thailand. Aleeza Aichi will face last season's champions, SAGA Hisamitsu Springs, on October 10-11.

About hummel

hummel, a Danish sportswear brand, was founded in 1923, developing the world's first football boots with studs. At a time when soccer was played in leather shoes, the addition of studs to flat soles dramatically improved grip, enabling plays that were previously impossible. This led to the adoption of the bumblebee (hummel in German), which was theoretically unable to fly due to its weight but could fly through persistent effort, as the brand name and logo, drawing a parallel. With over 100 years of history, the brand now pursues its unique brand story with the vision "CHANGE THE WORLD THROUGH SPORT," continuing to take on new challenges.
