Sprix Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter "Sprix"), the Egyptian Ministry of Education and Technical Education, and Hiroshima University (hereinafter "Hiroshima University") signed multiple Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) for comprehensive cooperation in the fields of education and human resource development in Cairo, Egypt, on April 28, 2026. The signing ceremony was attended by several Egyptian government ministers and officials from the Embassy of Japan in Egypt, with Hiroyuki Tsuneishi, Representative Director and President of Sprix, and Mitsuo Ochi, President of Hiroshima University, participating as signatories.

At the Egyptian Exchange, MOUs were signed with the attendance of His Excellency Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education; His Excellency Ahmed Kuchuk, Minister of Finance; His Excellency Mohamed Farid Saleh, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade; His Excellency Ahmed Rostom, Minister of Planning and Economic Development; Mr. Omar Radwan Hassan El-Khatib, Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange; and Mr. Yasuhiro Tsukamoto, Minister-Counselor at the Embassy of Japan in Egypt, covering the following:
* Development and provision of curriculum related to financial literacy * Provision of the financial literacy platform SPRIX Learning * Introduction of TOFAS (Test of Fundamental Academic Skills) into the curriculum
This initiative is the first attempt to introduce financial literacy education nationwide for first-year high school students in Egypt, making it an extremely groundbreaking endeavor.
Furthermore, by positioning financial literacy as one of the important fundamental academic skills in modern society and visualizing students' fundamental academic abilities against international standards through the introduction of TOFAS, the aim is to build a new educational model that integrates financial education and academic assessment.
This initiative also aligns with the Egyptian government's policy of enhancing human capital and education reform in response to the digital age, contributing to the development of next-generation talent in line with national strategy.

On the same day, at the Kempinski Hotel (Cairo, Egypt), with the attendance of His Excellency Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education; His Excellency Abdel Aziz Kanswa Konsawa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; His Excellency Gohar Nabil Mohamed, Minister of Youth and Sports; His Excellency Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population; and His Excellency Fumio Iwai, Ambassador of Japan to Egypt, the following MOUs were signed regarding a trilateral partnership between Sprix, the Egyptian Ministry of Education and Technical Education, and Hiroshima University, and a bilateral partnership between Sprix and the Egyptian Ministry of Education and Technical Education:
1. Teacher Training Field (Trilateral)
* Joint development and provision of a teacher training pilot program
This initiative positions teacher training as a core foundation supporting high-quality education. Through the establishment of a systematic training program based on international standards, it aims to improve the quality of teachers responsible for next-generation education. Concurrently, by incorporating academic assessment perspectives using TOFAS into teacher training, it seeks to integrate instruction and evaluation, aiming to enhance practical and effective teaching capabilities.
Building on this pilot program, there is a vision to develop it into providing a teacher training diploma in the future.
2. Vocational and STEM Education Fields (Bilateral)
* Provision of an AI and programming platform for vocational schools * Introduction of TOFAS (Test of Fundamental Academic Skills) into the curriculum
This initiative positions AI and programming as core areas directly linked to the development of next-generation industrial human resources. By strengthening the connection between education and industry, it aims to foster highly skilled human resources and improve industrial competitiveness. Concurrently, by combining the assessment and visualization of fundamental academic skills using TOFAS, it seeks to enhance the quality of human resource development from both specialized skills and fundamental academic skills perspectives, optimizing the output of talent that meets industrial needs.
Furthermore, this initiative is expected to be widely deployed in vocational education institutions across Egypt, with the anticipation of becoming a large-scale educational program targeting one million students in the future.
3. Secondary Education Material Development (Bilateral)
* Development of physics, chemistry, and biology teaching materials for high school students
This initiative aims to standardize and elevate the quality of educational content and improve students' critical thinking and problem-solving abilities by introducing clear and systematic Japanese science and mathematics curricula compatible with the Egyptian Baccalaureate.

Future Outlook
Through this partnership, we aim to strengthen the consistent educational foundation in Egypt, from basic education to vocational education, and contribute to promoting national-level education reform centered on science and mathematics education, financial literacy, AI, and digital education.
