SPRIX Holds TOFAS Mathematics and Programming Final Competition in Vietnam

SPRIX Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Hiroyuki Tsuneishi; hereinafter "SPRIX") held the final ceremony of the national mathematics and programming competition utilizing the International Fundamental Academic Skills Test "TOFAS (Test Of Fundamental Academic Skills)" at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, a leading science and engineering university in Vietnam, on March 29, 2026.

On the day of the event, students and parents gathered from all over the country, making it an event of approximately 1,000 people. The number of participants in the final competition has expanded by approximately three times compared to the previous year, symbolizing the growing interest in fundamental academic assessment and STEM education in Vietnam.

This competition was held in collaboration with BK Fintech, an advanced research institute of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, from October 2025 to March 2026, with over 12,000 students participating in total. The fact that it was held in the academic environment of Vietnam's leading science and engineering university also enhances the reliability and value of this competition.

Background and Objectives

In recent years, Vietnam has placed importance on STEM education and the development of logical thinking skills, with a particular demand for strengthening fundamental academic abilities in mathematics and programming fields.

To meet these needs, SPRIX Vietnam, through its collaboration with Hanoi University of Science and Technology and BK Fintech, utilized TOFAS, an international fundamental academic assessment, to visualize each student's academic ability and improve their motivation to learn, thereby holding this competition.

This competition is positioned not merely as a venue for competition, but as an opportunity for students, parents, and educational institutions to come together and reconfirm the importance of fundamental academic skills.
