1. Background and Motivation for the Crowdfunding (from Kashima Gakuen High School Girls' Softball Team)

The Kashima Gakuen High School Girls' Softball Team is in its 16th year of operation with 23 current members.

Since welcoming the current head coach in 2014, the team has aimed to become the strongest team in Ibaraki Prefecture and, above all, a team beloved and supported by many people.

After qualifying for the national selection tournament in 2023—their first in 11 years and second overall—the team achieved their first-ever Inter-High School Championship appearance in 2024, making it five consecutive national tournaments including both spring and summer events.

Tournaments have been held across Japan, including in Shizuoka, Osaka, Okayama, and Nagasaki Prefectures. The team has been deeply encouraged by the support from the principal, school staff, and local residents near their practice field, many of whom have traveled to cheer them on.

Additionally, people they met at tournaments or even inn staff have come to the field to support them.

During these trips, the team's official mascot, "Kashimaru-kun," accompanies them, engaging with many people through the "Kashimaru Pose."

Through this project, the team hopes to increase awareness of Kashima Gakuen High School Girls' Softball and receive even more support from people nationwide.
