Spportunity Inc., a company that operates a sports-specialized crowdfunding platform to support teams, organizations, and athletes, is scheduled to launch a crowdfunding project for the Shiga Junior Lacrosse Club BeeTanz. BeeTanz, based in Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture, is the only junior team in the prefecture and aims to create a "sport as a safe haven" for children. The crowdfunding campaign aims to raise 500,000 yen to cover travel expenses for the national tournament in Tokyo in December, procure equipment, and foster a culture where lacrosse can be easily started. The campaign is scheduled to run from May 24, 2026, to June 28, 2026. This initiative seeks to prevent financial barriers from hindering children's opportunities and to promote junior lacrosse culture in the Kansai region.
