1. Background and Vision for Crowdfunding Implementation

The CLARK Climbing Team started in 2022, when a sense of stagnation and negativity prevailed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the idea of undertaking a challenge outward. Students from Clark nationwide connected and decided to climb Japan's 100 Famous Mountains.

This year marks the 5th year, with nearly 800 students participating in various climbing activities, and only 16 of the 100 Famous Mountains remain. Students who were new to climbing have grown physically and mentally through the experience of climbing mountains, opening new doors to their future.

The Kilimanjaro Project this time aims to further turn the eyes of challenge towards the world, with current high school students drawing a big dream and striving towards it to reach the summit. Furthermore, they will make the most of their opportunity to travel to Africa, engaging not only in climbing but also in research activities such as local support and cultural exchange that high school students can undertake.

"Mountains cannot get any bigger, but people can become stronger and bigger in spirit than they are now. Mountains are the best learning ground." These are the words of Honorary Principal Yuichiro Miura. Indeed, this challenge for high school students will undoubtedly have a profound impact on the lives they will lead. We kindly ask for your support for the students who are acquiring the strength to walk their own lives powerfully.
