General Incorporated Association "Sports wo Tomeru na" (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Hanae Ito; hereinafter "the Association"), in collaboration with the Japanese Olympic Committee and the City of Yokohama, held the "International Women's Day Commemorative 1252 Dialogue" at BankArt YOKOHAMA (Yokohama, Kanagawa) on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in honor of International Women's Day. This initiative aimed to visualize the challenges female athletes face in continuing their careers and achieving success, while bringing together stakeholders from diverse backgrounds—including athletes, students, sports organizations, and government officials—to share and discuss "what can be done now." In the first part, following opening remarks from the organizers and co-organizers, a panel discussion was held featuring Paris Olympic Judo gold medalist Natsumi Tsunoda, Japan Paralympic Committee Athletes' Committee Chair Mari Amimoto, obstetrician and gynecologist Sayaka Nose, and "Sports wo Tomeru na" Co-Representative Director Toshiaki Hirose. They exchanged opinions on the challenges of condition management for female athletes, the importance of understanding in sports environments, and collaboration with education and medical sectors, incorporating both personal experiences and professional perspectives. In the second part, a workshop was held for students in Yokohama, focusing on conditioning and body awareness for female student-athletes.
