Spice Factory Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hironosuke Takagi), which supports digital transformation, will sponsor the "Darabochi Music Festival" to be held in Noto Town, Ishikawa Prefecture on Saturday, May 16, 2026. This initiative will also involve Spice Factory Group (hereinafter, Spice Family) companies Ginger Lab Inc., Infoport Inc., and Flying Penguins Inc., who will support this activity as a group to sustain the region's culture and human connections.
Two years after the earthquake, recovery is still underway
More than two years have passed since the Noto Peninsula Earthquake on January 1, 2024. The frequency of news reports has decreased, and many may find fewer opportunities to be conscious of it in their daily lives. However, the journey of restoration and recovery continues on the ground. The population of the two cities and two towns of Oku-Noto (Wajima City, Suzu City, Noto Town, Anamizu Town), which was about 58,000 before the earthquake, has decreased by about 14% in the two years since the disaster. The public-funded demolition of damaged buildings has reached about 28,000, and the regional landscape itself is changing significantly. As people leave and buildings disappear, how do we protect and pass on the region's culture and life? This is a question that cannot be solved by "support" alone.
What is the "Darabochi Music Festival"?
"Darabochi" is a word in the Noto dialect meaning "a person who is clumsy and slow, but tries to live honestly." This event is a handmade music festival planned and operated by the people living in Noto. It aims not only for recovery and support but also to create a new "reason to visit" Noto. As a "festival" where music, traditional arts, and food culture intersect, it is an attempt to light a fire of recovery from within the region. Artists with ties to Noto, including THA BLUE HERB, will gather, and local traditional arts such as the Yasaka Taiko drums, with a history of about 400 years, will also be performed.

Why is the Spice Family sponsoring?
We, the Spice Family, while operating in different business areas, share a common purpose: "To make the world a better place, one pixel at a time." Spice Factory has set a new vision, "Cycle of Hope," on its 10th anniversary. It aims to create a future we can be proud to pass on to the next generation, where social goodwill and economic growth are in harmony. This vision is composed of three axes: economic, social, and next-generation. This sponsorship of the "Darabochi Music Festival" is one of the initiatives that embody this "Cycle of Hope" as the Spice Family.
It's not just about utilizing technology as a means to solve social issues, but also about supporting the culture and human connections rooted in the region. We deeply empathized with the will of the people living in Noto to "create a festival with their own hands" and their attitude of trying to light a fire of recovery from within the region.
"Hope is an act of will"
For us who believe this, supporting this music festival is nothing less than creating a positive cycle in society and connecting hope to the next generation. From now on, the Spice Family will continue to engage with society and the region from our respective positions under the purpose of "making the world a better place, one pixel at a time," and support initiatives that lead to the future.
