Datachain Launches Early Launch Partner Program for On-Chain Privacy Platform 'KuraPrivacy', with 10 Companies Joining to Demonstrate Privacy-Preserving Stablecoin Transactions and Regulatory Compliance

Datachain Inc. (hereinafter, Datachain) announces the launch of the Early Launch Partner Program for its enterprise privacy infrastructure platform, 'KuraPrivacy' (formerly known as 'Datachain Privacy'). Ten companies—Gomiyakusha LLC, Gaia Inc., GALLUSYS Inc., Green Monster Co., Ltd., Genkosha Co., Ltd., Speee Inc., Tradam Inc., Japan Blockchain Infrastructure Co., Ltd., Fracton Ventures Inc., and HODL1 Inc. (listed in Japanese alphabetical order)—have joined as partners to jointly advance the development and validation of Web3 wallets and applications capable of privacy-preserving payments using KuraPrivacy.

1. Background and Objectives

Stablecoins are increasingly recognized as next-generation financial infrastructure for corporate settlements and cross-border payments. However, the public nature of blockchain, where transaction counterparties, amounts, and asset holdings are visible on-chain, remains a significant barrier to widespread enterprise adoption.

While privacy technologies have long attracted attention within the blockchain community, most solutions have focused on individual users. Few have addressed the essential enterprise requirements such as AML/CFT compliance, auditability, and flexible key management and recovery mechanisms suitable for multi-user operations.

'KuraPrivacy' is a solution developed by Datachain since 2025 to reconcile these enterprise needs with robust privacy protection. The core platform has already passed functional testing in a test environment. The next critical phase involves refining wallet and payment application designs with a focus on UI/UX and daily enterprise operational integration.

This program aims to co-develop practical solutions through collaboration with partner companies possessing deep blockchain expertise, incorporating real-world use case validation and feedback. Through this initiative, Datachain aims to establish KuraPrivacy as the standard for enterprise on-chain privacy solutions originating from Japan and Asia.

■ Product Name Change

Coinciding with the program launch, 'Datachain Privacy' has been officially renamed 'KuraPrivacy (Kura Privacy)'.

'Kura' in 'KuraPrivacy' derives from the Japanese word 'Kura' (蔵), meaning 'storehouse'. Historically, Japanese merchants used kura to securely store valuable assets and documents in isolated, robust spaces, accessible only to trusted individuals. This strict access control system ensured trustworthy commerce. The ethos of the kura aligns closely with KuraPrivacy’s vision for on-chain privacy, inspiring the new name.

2. Program Overview

The program will advance the development of two key products leveraging KuraPrivacy:

Enterprise Privacy Wallet: An enterprise-grade wallet featuring privacy-preserving payments, flexible key management and recovery, Passkey authentication, workflow approvals, and audit compliance.

Privacy Payment Application: A payment application that enables privacy-preserving transactions while integrating with existing wallets.

Additionally, APIs and SDKs will be gradually released to allow payment and wallet providers handling stablecoin transactions to embed privacy features directly into their services.
