Wire harnesses are products with extremely complex supply chains, consisting of tens of thousands of components and multiple layers of suppliers, requiring high precision and responsiveness in management.

In recent years, with increasing geopolitical threats and frequent natural disasters, Yazaki Parts has faced the need to quickly and accurately assess impacts on suppliers and the entire supply chain. Under the previous internal system, updating information on tens of thousands of components and hundreds of suppliers required manual input, resulting in significant labor and challenges in maintaining data freshness. Moreover, disaster impact assessments relied heavily on manual processes, making it difficult to rapidly grasp the full scope of wide-ranging, multi-layered supply chains, leading to delayed initial responses and increased supplier burdens.

To address these challenges, multiple supply chain risk management tools were evaluated. Among them, 'Spectee SCR' received strong support from internal operational staff.
