Space Shift Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Naruo Kanemoto, hereafter "Space Shift") has launched a new "Embankment Detection AI" under its satellite data analysis brand "SateAIs™".
This service uses SAR satellite data from different acquisition periods to extract areas with potential embankments based on surface changes, helping to streamline monitoring and management tasks by narrowing down the targets for on-site inspections. In addition to providing detection results directly, users can choose from various delivery formats, such as meshing processing and API integration. Furthermore, as an additional option, beyond providing embankment detection results, business support after embankment extraction is also available. This includes creating location maps and records utilizing the expertise of construction consulting companies (SateBiz members) (prior consultation is required for support details). Click here for the new service page.
Space Shift is also participating as a collaborating institution in the JAXA Space Strategy Fund (Phase 2) adopted project "Illegal/Improper Embankment Detection and Landslide Risk Assessment using Multimodal AI". In this project, the company aims to highly accurately detect embankments and quantitatively assess landslide risks through the development of methods that integrate multiple satellite data sources, such as SAR and optical data. The results will be deployed as a more advanced analysis option for this service (Click here for details).
■ About SateAIs
SateAIs is an analysis brand that systemizes Space Shift's proprietary satellite data analysis algorithms by application and delivery format under the concept of "Turning Satellite x AI Analysis into On-site Power." By organizing satellite data analysis—which previously required high expertise and posed high barriers to adoption—into AI packages selectable by purpose, it provides an environment where a wide range of users, including local governments, businesses, and research institutions, can utilize it according to their operational challenges.
* "SateAIs Environment" is scheduled to be released soon.
Space Shift will continue to accelerate the social implementation of satellite data analysis by developing new analysis packages centered on SateAIs and expanding delivery formats. Furthermore, as an expansion of delivery methods, the company plans to provide analysis in various formats, such as APIs, dashboards, and cloud integration.
