Japan Underwater Drone Association Signs MOU with Korea's DAEHAN EnC to Cooperate on Underwater Drone Promotion, Social Implementation, and Human Resource Development in South Korea

The Japan Underwater Drone Association (Representative Director: Yasuhiro Kobayashi / Secretariat Operation: Space One Co., Ltd., Taito-ku, Tokyo) is pleased to announce that it has signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Korean engineering company DAEHAN EnC, to cooperate on activities such as the promotion, social implementation, and human resource development of underwater drones in South Korea.

Main Cooperation Contents Based on the MOU

1. Information Sharing on Underwater Drone Technology and Systems

We will share the knowledge accumulated in Japan regarding underwater drone technology, operational methods, and related systems with DAEHAN EnC, and cooperate with their activities to consider utilization in South Korea.

2. Cooperation in Considering Applications in Industrial, Public, and Research Fields

We will cooperate in considering target fields and methods of application for underwater drones in a wide range of areas, including infrastructure inspection, as well as industrial, public, and research sectors.

3. Cooperation in Education, Seminars, Exhibitions, and Technical Exchange

We will cooperate in promoting understanding of underwater drones and fostering practical human resources through educational programs, seminars, exhibitions, and technical exchanges.

4. Cooperation for Joint Projects and Demonstrations

The Japan Underwater Drone Association will provide knowledge and advice as needed for demonstration projects and pilot initiatives promoted by DAEHAN EnC, cooperating in considerations for implementation.

5. Cooperation in Building a Promotion System in South Korea

We will provide information and advice on system design, operational structures, and human resource development concepts to support the creation of a system to promote the growth of the underwater drone market in South Korea and consider the future establishment of related organizations.

The MOU also explicitly states cooperation towards the establishment of a promotion organization (including consideration for establishment).
