Soracom, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, CEO: Ken Tamagawa) is pleased to announce that its IoT platform, 'SORACOM,' has been selected for 'Japan Service Innovation 2025,' organized by the Service Productivity & Innovation for Growth (SPRING) under the Japan Productivity Center. 'Japan Service Innovation 2025' aims to improve productivity in the service industry by publishing frontline examples of outstanding service innovation. From a diverse range of service cases obtained through activities such as the Japan Service Awards and the Japanese Customer Satisfaction Index (JCSI) survey, 91 outstanding cases were selected for their ability to improve customer satisfaction and efficiency, as well as solve social issues through business activities. SORACOM is an AI/IoT platform that provides one-stop access to communication for connecting everything to the internet and AI, as well as the services necessary for the development, operation, and data utilization of IoT systems. It is used in over 200 countries and regions. The selection was based on the convenience of using stable, multi-carrier communication globally through a single contract with Soracom, and the ability to build and operate systems in a short period without specialized knowledge by combining necessary IoT functions. Furthermore, its contribution to human resource development and the creation of new industries across corporate boundaries through the operation of a community for companies wishing to utilize IoT was highly evaluated as an initiative to promote digitalization across society. Soracom has set forth the concept of a 'Real-World AI Platform,' which connects all physical sites and internal/external data to AI, turning them into a force that moves the real world. We will continue to aim for the creation of numerous use cases and innovations by providing the latest technology in an easier-to-use manner, centered on IoT, through the 'democratization of AI and IoT technology.'
