SORABITO Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Kazuaki Hakata; hereinafter "SORABITO") announces that it has concluded a business alliance agreement with enableX Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & CEO: Shun Kenmochi; hereinafter "enableX").

Through this alliance, SORABITO will combine its operational knowledge, system and data infrastructure, and AI utilization initiatives cultivated in field-based industries through services for the construction equipment rental industry and construction sites, with enableX's deep tech and workflow automation expertise. The two companies will jointly build "mechanisms to keep on-site operations running" in fields such as construction, rental, manufacturing, and logistics, before operations become unmanageable due to labor shortages.

Background and Purpose

In industries such as construction, rental, manufacturing, and logistics, many core operations, including order placement/receipt, inquiries, inventory confirmation, and dispatch arrangements, still rely on human labor.

The labor shortage faced by these industries has moved beyond being solely a context for cost optimization. With the retirement of veteran personnel who supported on-site operations, difficulties in hiring young talent, and the loss of individualized operational knowledge, the risk of operations themselves halting—such as inability to process orders, handle phone calls, or arrange dispatches—is becoming a reality.

To address this challenge, simply introducing general-purpose AI tools is difficult to adapt to complex on-site workflows. What is needed is a mechanism rooted in industry-specific knowledge and data that can continuously support on-site operations.

SORABITO has been working to improve productivity in field-based industries for many years through "i-Rental Series" and "GENBAx Inspection." Furthermore, leveraging its cultivated on-site knowledge and design capabilities, it has launched "TakumiX," which promotes the practical implementation of conversational AI utilizing advanced voice AI, thereby engaging in AI utilization rooted in on-site operations.

enableX is a business development firm that tackles social issues such as labor shortages and aging infrastructure through its business development capabilities and deep tech. With strengths in technologies such as simulation, multimodal AI, and image analysis, as well as deep expertise in business process automation and workflow automation, it has partnered with many companies to co-create new businesses for core industries such as construction, manufacturing, and energy.

Both companies concluded this business alliance, judging that by combining SORABITO's accumulated on-site understanding, industry knowledge, and data infrastructure with enableX's deep tech and business development expertise, they can jointly implement AI not only for cost reduction but also to keep industrial sites running.

Overview of Collaboration

This alliance will jointly deploy proposals for business reform, group management efficiency, and AI utilization promotion across the entire industry supporting social infrastructure, including construction equipment rental, construction, manufacturing, energy, and agricultural machinery.

A key focus for both companies is the construction of an on-site specific knowledge base. By developing a data infrastructure that incorporates the complex specifications of specialized products, industry terminology, and business practices that are difficult for general-purpose AI models to handle, they aim to implement individualized operational knowledge into systems, thereby realizing a system where operations can continue even with fewer people.

Comments

Kazuaki Hakata, President & CEO, SORABITO Inc.

"Under the vision of 'co-creating an ecosystem for working machinery,' SORABITO has promoted DX in the construction equipment rental sector and construction sites. The labor shortage faced by sites is extremely severe, and human-intervened operations such as phone support and dispatch management are major bottlenecks. Through this alliance with enableX, which possesses strong expertise in deep tech, we will combine SORABITO's accumulated on-site understanding and industry knowledge with technologies such as voice AI and workflow automation. We will advance the construction of an 'operational foundation that does not stop even with fewer people,' going beyond mere efficiency in various field-based industries supporting social infrastructure, and contribute to the sustainability of the industry."

Shun Kenmochi, Representative Director & CEO, enableX Inc.

"SORABITO Inc. is a rare entity that has built deep data and trust over many years in the construction equipment rental industry, which is at the forefront of field-based industries. As a business development firm that tackles social issues with its business development capabilities and deep tech, enableX has created mechanisms to support industries with expertise in on-site knowledge, workflows, and data.
