Sony Bank Corporation (President: Keiji Minami / Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo / hereinafter "Sony Bank") is pleased to announce that it has provided a financial education program to Shirayuri University (President: Tomokazu Igarashi / Chofu City, Tokyo).

Sony Bank has cooperated with the PBL (Project-Based Learning) subject "Introduction to Leadership" at Shirayuri University since entering into an industry-academia collaboration agreement in 2023, providing a financial education program.

In the 2025 academic year classes, which targeted 31 students, lectures were held on topics such as "Concepts of Life Planning and Investment Options" and "Money Management." With the aim of acquiring practical knowledge, students worked on a task presented by Sony Bank: "Set a target and persona for young adults in their early twenties, start asset management to achieve short-, mid-, and long-term goals, and encourage them to use Sony Bank WALLET as their main card."

At the final presentation session held on January 9th to showcase the results of their efforts, Maki Ogawa, Executive Officer of Sony Financial Group Inc., also participated, and together with Sony Bank employees, selected the two most outstanding groups.

The most outstanding groups not only delivered their final presentations before President Minami at Sony Bank headquarters but also worked on creating Instagram posts to encourage the use of "Sony Bank WALLET as their main card." The Instagram post proposals from these two groups are also featured on Sony Bank's official account.

Associate Professor Ueno, who is in charge of "Introduction to Leadership," commented, "This course has increased its recognition within the university, leading to more students hoping to enroll in the 'Introduction to Leadership' class and expressing interest in taking it next year, thereby revitalizing the campus through industry-academia collaboration. It's a class where students can realize that the 'ability to understand people and communicate through words' can be utilized in society, and it has a high affinity with our university's specialized fields."

Furthermore, a significant change was observed in the students' awareness of the importance of the content learned through the course and assignments. The proportion of students who responded that "money management methods" are "very important" or "important" increased from 48% before the course to 100% after the course. Similarly, the response rate for "life planning and saving plans" significantly improved from 44% to 96%.

**Voices of Participating Students**
* I feel I have grown a lot by being able to do many things that cannot be experienced in other classes.
* In the process of creating the presentation content as a group, we researched many things to understand the product and repeatedly thought about how to present it to make it appealing. The process itself was very enjoyable, and the learning deepened.
